The Bruneau-Dupuy field is
a long history of family which started since several generations
with Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil.
Today, it is Sylvain who has taken over of his Jean father and
his Nicole mother for now 3 years.
The exploitation extends on a surface from 16 hectares protected
in north by the forest. Here, the nature of the grounds has a considerable
influence on the quality of the wine.
Indeed, two thirds of our exploitation located on the southern
slopes full, are covered with old vines planted in grounds argilo-limestone
covering the tuffeau. The wines resulting from these vines are vigorous
and long in mouth; they develop red a fruit flavour more or less
pronounced according to years'. The other third of the vines is
planted in sandy grounds; what gives lighter wines fruity, to consume
young people.
